Finally, after years of work: cutting, welding, panel beating plastering and sanding, refilling,
sanding ad more sanding, the moment is there: she is tightly and is going to be spray painted.
The original colour red will disappear in favour of light-ivory, or if you like Hell Elfenbein…
Our good friend Harry started beginning of May 2008 an odd job: a considerable bad PV444a
from 1947 provided with lot of new plate work; with a pause of the summer 2009 up to June
2010 this odd job is finished, including the first time filling and sanding.
The PV544F FN-23-11 is ready. With in the afternoon an evaluation report and the morning a
registration check-up with - coincidence? - a sample by the RDW, the last two obstacles had been
taken. On the Volvo Klassieker Association 40th anniversary she will be shown to the public.
With the sun high to the sky and a summery Whitsun weekend behind us, we bring you the
restoration report of a heater… PV444A (a car from Sweden, of all counties) in 1947, was
provided without.
After eleven months all together, a bulky file as a result, the "Rijksdienst van het wegverkeer"
pleased us by sending the registration papers for the Duett AD-60-48.
March 2009 we provided the façade of our building with original VOLVO-neon-letters, now we
setup up street name signs in our main road PV-Gatan (Gatan is Swedish for Street), our parking
court Duett-Torg (Torg is Place) and our bach yard entrance is now called Amazon-Allee.
Now as the winter has left us and we can work without heater again, Harrie indicated he
wanted to continue our project of more than 60 springs or autumns as you like.
At the Volvo-exchange in september 2007 in Utrecht we bought a set of Volvo-letters with
neon-tubes as internal lightning.
As before, we plan an open day on Sunday May 29, 2011.You need to be invited by us to visit
our premises and see our works. When you send an email to opendag@yestercar.nl we will let
you know in time if you are one of the lucky ones and from what time on you will be welcome.
By installing the rechromed door handles and air intake grille, there's nothing left for the Amazon
P1200vb to further enhance.
And more: we have a steering wheel PV444a found our P445a.
At our open day we had the honour to greet over 40 people, wonder and fun.
From our already loyal fan Eric Moser we got two pictures of our Ute from 1980 Bakkie, as we never knew her,
although we already knew that she should be back to gray.
As an employee of Berendsen Textile Service BV Gé is close to the fire, and he asked the mat division in Ede to
provide us with floor mats with our name and our logo on the right dark surface.
Look at Reportages, at May 19, 1982, as well as at May 16, 2012:
The parents were married in our PV444h and 30 years later in the same car at the wedding of their son.
